Objectives
The European Rotorcraft Forum is one of the premier events in the rotorcraft community’s calendar bringing together manufacturers, research centres, academia, operators and regulatory agencies to discuss advances in research, development, design, manufacturing, testing and operation of rotorcraft.
This Forum will be the 36th in a series of meetings, which take place annually across Europe, rotating around the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, The Netherlands and Russia. The first ERF was held in Southampton, England, in 1975 and the most recent in Hambourg, Germany in 2009.
The 36th European Rotorcraft Forum will take place in Paris, France
from 7th to 9th September 2010.
Paris counts around 2.1 million inhabitants, and is one of the most beautiful cities and the first tourist destination worldwide with its many iconic landmarks along with its world-famous institutions and historical buildings. Paris is the world capital of congress and a leading business place too. Paris is also the cradle of aeronautics - the very first flight of the Brothers Montgolfier’s hot-air balloon took place in 1783; furthermore, the first piloted helicopter flight performed by Paul Cornu happened close to Paris.
Conference Centre
The Forum will be held at the Salons de l’Aveyron Conference Centre, located is in the New East of Paris, in the heart of BERCY VILLAGE.

This quarter has been completely rebuilt on the former Wine Market of Paris, keeping some old buildings, surrounded by a wonderful garden. Bercy Village is opened from 1999 now and present a suitable set of hotels (wide range of rates), restaurants, shops and congress location with the charming atmosphere of a village. The center of Paris is easily reachable by the Metro line 14, the new automatic line (less than 10 mn trip).
English will be the official language at the Forum. There will be no simultaneous translation.
